The things you find in the bottom of drawers...
So, last week, I finally cleared out my sets of IKEA mini drawer boxes (you know the ones I mean...) and found this. I made it ages ago, after getting an 'African Beading' book from my aunt, and there it was, suddenly looking at me from the bottom of the box. I kinda like the droopy friendly expression it's got (see the detail). And if I didn't want a purple beard already, a beaded beard would probably be my next choice. It's made out of sculpey, which is waaay better (and cheaper) than Fimo.
Also last week, I found a book called 'Silk Ribbon Embroidery', by Ann Cox. It's a bit of a granny pleaser, but hey, nothing wrong with that, is there? I liked the cutsey 3D details on it, and here's my first go:

If you go down to the woods today, you better not go alone!
It seems like my main occupation at the moment is submitting designs to threadless, but don't worry, judging by my past performance in these things, I'll probably lose interest soon enough.
For now, however, here's another one:

...and there's more!
I've also finally gotten rid of the last of my Christmas presents, so I can now put the pics up. I made 3 of these books, I think, to give away and I'm quite chuffed with the way they turned out. This one I wanted to keep in black an white, to avoid some of the faffage I had with the previous one.

Shrinky Dinks
I've discovered the magical world of Shrinky Dinks. Shamelessly, I immediately stole an idea from Wee Wonderfuls, and attempted to make some cool pinheads. The first load went up in flames in my grill, but the second one produced some interesting results.
I then went on to make some test magnets with the printable Shrinky Dinks sheets I got.

Orchid
Here's a birthday card I made today for my friend Mandy. I usually forget to send cards for people's birthdays, which is probably just as well, as I always spend hours faffing once I've started making them. And, obviously, buying birthday cards is for ninnies.
In other news, here's another Threadless submission of mine:

Poo!
"I'm sorry to inform you that your submission "Gurlz with curlz"
has been taken out of the running earlier than the 7 day scoring period.
It was removed because after 24 hours of voting, it received a low score
and a low number of "I'd Buy It" requests.
Don't get discouraged though! Keep on submitting!"
Ooch well. I've submitted another one. Maybe that'll do better.

My first submission to Threadless
This is the first picture I submitted to Threadless, so that it may be printed on a T-Shirt, if enough people like it. I must say, that I now agree with the people who left comments on the site to change the colour of the shirt - Pink doesn't look as nice anymore as I first thought. Oh well. Too late now.
Anyways, if you like it, vote for me!
